Non Practicing Refresher

This 1-day STMS (A & B & C) Refresher workshop provides the base knowledge for working on category A & B & C road environments. Note: Holds no NZTA/NZQA qualification, only certificate of completion.

Course Result:

On successful completion of all components “Achieved” for Unit Standard 31962, the Assessor will lodge your credits to be added to your NZQA record of learning (via Connexis).

Outcome of this training:

At the end of this workshop the participant will refreshed their knowledge on:

  • The changes to STMS (ABC) roles and expectations set out by industry regulations and guides (NZGTTM/Other).
  • deliver site safety briefings and inductions
  • calculate layout distances for category (A/B/C) road environments
  • set up, maintain, and remove TTM for static operations including shoulder closures, lane closures, lane diversions, chicanes, multi-lane closures and ramp closures
  • complete mobile operations and closures
  • conduct special activities

What to bring:

Compulsory:

  • Proof of Identification (Passport, Birth Certificate for Driver License)
  • Casual dress code (NO WORK BOOTS)

Optional (Preference):

  • Bring reading spectacles if required.
  • Water Bottle
  • Photo of each attendee will be taken at start of course for ID Card

Parking & Train Instructions (77b Station Road, Penrose, Auckland):

  • Park on site at the office (Limited spots available) OR any on street parking (free). 
  • Take note of possible Event Signs 3pm limit – TMA takes no liability if not adhere to by attendees.
  • Penrose Train Station across the road from Office
  • Bus Stop Routes 7627/ 7624 / 7997 / 8692 in front of the office 

Lunch:

  • Will be provided for face-to-face one-day (or more) workshops extending beyond lunch break only.

Prerequisites:

No Pre-requisite but we highly recommend previous STMS warrants/qualifications or work experience at this level.

Payment Agreement:

  • A course fee will become payable upon securing the booking online.
  • All fees are due 48-hours prior to workshop attendance, unless otherwise agreed by TMA Management. Refer to terms and conditions.
  • Please refer to the Late Cancellation / No Show terms and conditions outlined above.
  • Overdue accounts will be referred to Debt Collection services, and all associated fees will be liable by student/company making the booking.
  • Xero invoice will be sent on confirmation of booking or can pay via Credit Card / Debit / Bank Transfer or Stipe.
  • Payment options will be available Online or Xero Invoice upon making your booking.
